Lab Realty was founded in 2023 by Aaron Pero with a simple idea: there were parts of the traditional real estate model that could be done better.
At the heart of that idea was collaboration.
In fact, that’s where our name comes from. Lab is taken from the word collaborate, reflecting our belief that the best result should matter more than who gets the credit for it.

When you list with Lab Realty, your property is open to every licensed real estate agent in New Zealand to introduce a buyer and make the sale.
We don’t believe agency boundaries should get in the way of finding the right buyer.
But collaboration doesn’t mean losing accountability. Your Lab agent remains your one point of contact throughout the entire process. One agent managing the campaign, giving you advice, reporting back and representing your interests, while thousands of other agents can bring a buyer to the table.
It’s the reach of an open market, with the accountability of one dedicated agent.
Better incentives for better agents.
We also think the people doing the work should keep more of what they earn.
Lab agents receive a higher share of their commission than is typical under traditional agency models. That means more of every dollar they generate goes directly to the agent responsible for delivering the result.
For our clients, that creates something important: an experienced, highly motivated agent with a genuine financial incentive to get the deal done.
And they don’t have to do it alone.
